The most popular in the S80 mrange, the C* size used by most players and is a highly versatile mouthpiece, delivering a fantastic tone and an excellent response. It is characterized by its very warm grained, broad and full toned sound.
All Selmer S80 sizes fit an alto saxophone but have slightly different chamber widths and different tip opening angles which provide a different tone and a different feel. The C* features a 1.55 mm opening.
