The Sennheiser EK2000-IEM wireless monitoring set's receiver uses adaptive-diversity technology - the earphone cable serves as a second antenna, achieving diversity, which considerably reduces the number of drop-outs. 

Like all 2000 Series equipment, the the EK2000-IEM also features a huge 75MHz switching bandwidth allowing a large number of systems to operate concurrently and equipping touring professionals with more options to avoid varying localised interference in a wide array of increasingly cluttered RF environments.
