Taylor Gold Label 814e Koa SB

Taylor Gold Label 814e Koa SB

Introducing the Gold Label Collection, a new family of guitars designed with a nod to the warm, heritage sound of 1930s flattop guitars. Developed by Andy Powers, this collection captures a muscular, full-bodied tone with extraordinary pitch accuracy.

Built on the adaptability and benefits of the patented V-Class voicing architecture, these guitars offer a louder, more robust, and more responsive sound. The updated V-Class Bracing incorporates additional overtones and improved air movement while retaining the original benefits of increased sustain, enhanced volume, and superior intonation.

At the heart of the collection is the Super Auditorium, a new body style featuring innovative interior and exterior design elements that evoke the vintage-inspired look and sound of the Gold Label Collection.

Features of the Gold Label Collection:

  • Super Auditorium Body Shape: Larger and longer than a Grand Auditorium, this body style features classically proportioned curves for a timeless aesthetic.
  • Long-Tenon Neck Joint: Improved wood coupling enhances low-end resonance, creating a sound reminiscent of vintage guitars with dovetail necks.
  • Fanned V-Class Bracing: A fan-shaped variation of the V-Class bracing delivers remarkable volume, responsiveness, and sustain, along with precise pitch accuracy.
  • New Visual Elements: Drawing inspiration from historic banjos, mandolins, and archtops, the design includes a newly shaped headstock with an angled back cut, a reimagined Taylor logo, a Continental inlay motif, a redesigned pickguard, and a Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge.
  • Refined Case Design: The Gold Label guitars are housed in British Cocoa-colored cases with Graphite-colored interior lining.

The initial models in the collection feature either solid Honduran rosewood or Hawaiian koa back and sides paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top. Both options are available with either a natural or sunburst top finish.
