Designed for small venues and practice spaces, the Yamaha Stage Custom Hip Kit delivers a powerful sound from a compact setup. The 6-ply all-birch shells offer impressive depth and clarity, perfect for a variety of musical styles. The kit's compact configuration includes sizes that fit into a 20" kick drum case and a 14" floor tom case, making it highly portable without sacrificing tone.
Compact Yet Powerful: The birch shells produce a full-bodied sound with warm, clear overtones, ideal for hip-hop, jazz, funk, and more. The included snare strainer on the floor tom adds versatility by allowing you to use a second, deeper snare if desired. Additionally, the small bass drum can function as a sub-kick extension to enhance the sound of a standard-sized kick drum.
Includes Crosstown Hardware Pack: The kit comes with Yamaha’s Crosstown HW-3 Advanced Lightweight Hardware Pack, which aligns perfectly with the Stage Custom Hip Kit’s portability and performance.
The HW3 Lightweight Hardware Pack Features:
- Durable, Lightweight Construction: Made from aluminum, these stands are 20 - 30% lighter than similar hardware, making setups and tear-downs a breeze.
- Modern Satin Finish: The sleek, satin finish resists fingerprints, scuffs, and oxidation, maintaining a clean look and long-lasting durability.
- Sturdy and Supportive: The pack includes two CS-3 cymbal stands, one SS-3 snare stand, and one HHS-3 hi-hat stand. Each stand features compact channel-lock legs with nonslip rubber feet that absorb vibration and prevent slipping. The CS-3 cymbal stands also include an offset micro-gear tilter for precise cymbal positioning.
